7 days in Myanmar
Yangon – Inle Lake – Bagan – Yangon
Myanmar is well known for its wide variety of culture and
geography, and this tour provides the perfect chance to
become well-acquainted with this diversity. The difference
between Day 1 and Day 2 of your journey could not be more
different, as you travel from the city of Yangon, a thriving
urban centre of nearly 6 million people, to rural Shan
State. This mountainous, forested region is home to a number
of fascinating ethnic groups, many of which you will
encounter as you take a boat tour of beautiful Inle Lake and
its numerous rustic villages on wooden stilts. From the cool
heights of Shan State you will descend into the central
plains of Myanmar, where you will explore the countless
temples of Bagan and learn how history played itself out in
the days of the ancient Burmese kings.
